General Description LYNKS

Introduction

LYNKS allows granular access and permissions configurations, that are managed inside the settings section of the interface. The management of access and permissions allows the application to display the available contents on the various pages. The interface displays the contents and allows actions according the configured and attributed accesses and permissions. The permission-set is configured in a way to be compliant to the companies’ requirements.

Columns

Every screen has a default set of displayed columns. The layout of the table is configurable and can be personalised. On the top of the table on the right-hand side, a button called ‘Columns’ opens a modal, where the columns can be added, removed, and rearranged by drag and drop.

Filters

The functionality allows the user to search intuitively the data set needed. To facilitate the process, the interface displays 3 useful filters on top of every table, defined per screen and data set. Many more are to be found under the ‘More filters’ button.

Views

The view functionality has the goal to allow the users to save their column configuration, including column visibility (show/hide), column ordering (custom rearranging) and sorting (ASC, DESC) as part of a saved view. Additionally applied filters can be saved as part of a view.
In case a user edits columns or applies filters without saving the view, this is considered as a change and the current view name will have the indicator * to inform that the current view is not saved.

Views are part of the cache of a user, therefore when arriving on any of the table view screens the application always loads the last view. Saved and unsaved views, so that user can pick up from where he left.

The applied selection of columns and filters can be saved as ‘View’. Next to the ‘Columns’ button, the interface displays the ‘Default view’ as a button. Inside this you got the possibility to switch between different views that you saved prior.
