Feature flags
Tenant-level configuration switches that enable or disable specific features in LYNKS
Introduction
Feature flags are tenant-level configuration switches that control the availability of specific features and capabilities in LYNKS. Each flag can be enabled or disabled independently for your organization, allowing you to activate only the features relevant to your business needs.
Feature flags serve multiple purposes: enabling production features like cash concentration and KYC screening, and activating integration capabilities with external systems. Some flags require JSON configuration parameters to specify endpoints, category mappings, or other operational details.
All feature flag changes are managed through Finologee Customer Support to ensure proper configuration and system stability.
Feature flag categories
Feature flags in LYNKS are organized into several categories based on their purpose and production readiness.
Production features
Production features are fully tested, supported, and ready for use in live environments. These flags enable core LYNKS capabilities and operational features that enhance your treasury and payment management workflows.
| Feature Flag | Description | Configuration Required |
|---|---|---|
| CASH_CONCENTRATION | Automated cash pooling and sweeping rules for liquidity management | Yes - Payment category ID and group configuration |
| KYC_SCREENING | Know Your Customer compliance screening for counterparties | No |
| KYC_MONITORING | Ongoing automated monitoring of counterparties against sanctions lists | No |
| KYC_RISK | Risk assessment and scoring for counterparty management | No |
| SEPA_DIRECT_DEBIT | SEPA Direct Debit collections and mandate management | No |
| SECURITIES | Securities account monitoring and portfolio tracking | No |
| WEBDAV | WebDAV file-based payment upload and statement retrieval | Yes - Payment category ID |
| TENANT_SETTINGS_FOUR_EYES_REVIEW | Approval workflow for tenant configuration changes | Yes - Draft schema configuration |
Integration features
Integration flags enable connections with external systems and third-party services, extending LYNKS capabilities through validated partner integrations.
| Feature Flag | Description | Configuration Required |

| COUNTERPARTY_SYNCHRONIZATION | Synchronize counterparty data with KYC Manager | Yes - KYC Manager URI and endpoints |
| SUREPAY | Validate counterparty bank details using SurePay service | No |
| SWIFT_PREVAL | Pre-validate counterparty information via SWIFT network | No |
Integration PriorityWhen both SUREPAY and SWIFT_PREVAL flags are enabled, the system prioritizes SWIFT_PREVAL for counterparty validation.
Workflow and security features
These flags control specific workflow behaviors and security policies within LYNKS, allowing customization of approval processes and access patterns.
| Feature Flag | Description | Configuration Required |
|---|---|---|
| BLOCK_SIGNATURE_TO_OWN_COUNTERPARTY | Prevent users from signing payments to counterparties with their own name | No |
| EXTERNAL_COUNTERPARTY_EDIT | Allow editing of counterparties synchronized from external systems | No |
| API_EXT_COUNTERPARTY_READ_INTERNAL | External API returns all counterparties (not just external=true) | No |
Bulk upload template versions
LYNKS supports multiple versions of bulk counterparty upload templates for backward compatibility and enhanced functionality.
| Feature Flag | Description | Introduced In |
|---|---|---|
| COUNTERPARTY_BATCH_FILE_V1 | First version of counterparty bulk upload template | Before Release 4.1 |
| COUNTERPARTY_BATCH_FILE_V2 | Enhanced counterparty bulk upload template with additional fields | Release 4.1 |
Template Version SelectionBoth template versions remain available for backward compatibility. New implementations should use COUNTERPARTY_BATCH_FILE_V2 for enhanced capabilities.
Enabling feature flags
Feature flags are managed at the tenant level and can only be enabled or disabled by Finologee Customer Support. This centralized approach ensures proper configuration, prevents conflicts, and maintains system stability across all tenants.
Request process
To enable or disable a feature flag for your tenant:
- Identify the required feature from the tables above
- Review configuration requirements - some flags need additional JSON parameters
- Contact Customer Support at [email protected]
- Provide the following information:
- Tenant name or URL
- Feature flag name
- Desired state (enable or disable)
- Configuration parameters (if required)
- Business justification or use case
Configuration validation
Customer Support will validate your request to ensure:
- The feature is appropriate for your tenant type and use case
- Required configuration parameters are complete and correct
- No conflicts exist with other enabled features
- Proper prerequisites are met (e.g., payment categories for cash concentration)
Activation timeline
Feature flag changes are typically processed within one business day. Complex features requiring configuration setup or database schema changes may require additional coordination and testing before activation.
Special Activation RequirementsSome features like CASH_CONCENTRATION and TENANT_SETTINGS_FOUR_EYES_REVIEW require database procedures or schema setup beyond simple flag enabling. Customer Support will coordinate these additional steps during activation.
